Fall 2023 Women’s Bible Study
1 Peter: A Living Hope in Christ by Jen Wilkin
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake…you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession....”
The theme for our 2023-2024 ministry year is Chosen. We will begin to explore our theme through our fall study in 1 Peter. Jesus Christ, chosen before the foundations of the world, has called us to be his chosen ones.
Join us for a 9-week study through the eyes of Peter, an eyewitness to the life of Christ. Peter is a man of faith and flaws who challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances and toward our eternal inheritance–one that is imperishable, undefiled and unfading. As we look deeper into what it means to find our true identity in Christ, we discover how he is our Living Hope. Some key themes include humility, submission, and identity in Christ.
Whether you are new to studying the Bible or have familiarity with the scriptures, this study is widely applicable.
