Baptism is the initiation ordinance for Christians and it’s the way to publicly identify as a follower of Jesus. Believers are baptized in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as a visual and symbolic picture of our death to sin and resurrection to new life through our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior. The water baptism is also a beautiful reminder that in Christ, our sins have been washed away.
