Youth Group Winter Retreat 2026 (January 30-31)
*Register by Monday, January 12!
WHO: middle and high school students
WHERE and WHEN? All students should be dropped off and picked up at Fox Valley Christian Action (FVCA) 35W624 Riverwoods Ln, St. Charles, IL 60174. Please come to the main large building (Maple Complex) for check-in. Here is a map of the camp.
- Drop off: Friday, January 30 at 5:00 PM
- Pick up: Saturday, January 31 at 9:00 PM
COST: $125.00 (includes FVCA accommodations, four meals, supplies, and sweatshirts)
*Sweatshirts are only guaranteed in registrations completed by Monday, January 12, 2026!
WHAT should I bring?
- Spiritual Materials: Bible, journal, something to write with
- Warm clothes: coat, sweater, boots for outside activities (possible cold, snow, mud)
- Indoor clothes: gym shoes, shorts, t-shirt for games, rock-climbing
- Bedding: pillow, sleeping bag, sheets, blankets (bunk beds onsite)
- Toiletries: towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant
- Extras: snacks, board/card games, book to read
PRAY:
- Praise God that He supplies us with what we need to face uncertain times.
- Thank God for FVCA’s team hosting us (Kris Goodmiller from NCBC, our friend Jay Curtis, and staff), our special guest speaker (Joe Kulesza), and our ministry and prayer teams.
- Ask God for direction in our life situations, harmony between students, deepening friendships, learning new things from the Bible, blessing for Joe Kulesza (our speaker), difference-making life transformation.
The Youth Group at New Covenant meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 PM and seeks to help 6th-12th grade students take steps toward Christ. Each week we have games, worship music, teaching, and small group discussion. Whether you are already a Christian or not, we'd love for you to join us as we have fun together, build good friendships, and learn and grow together.
Psalm 145:4 says “One generation shall commend Your works to another.” At New Covenant Bible Church, we love the next generation and desire to see them raised for God’s glory. We seek to serve families who are raising teens to bring glory to God through Spirit-transformed lives by the beauty and power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Youth Group Vision
Our goal in youth group is to engage, evangelize, establish, and equip students. We want to see each student take steps toward maturity in Christ and learn how to “look to the left” so they can help others.
Quarterly Discipleship Focus
Each quarter has a different discipleship focus. This guides the content of our teaching, and also serves as our main discipleship focus with the teens in our small groups and interactions with them.
Fall- Community- Loving those who are in the “Kingdom of the Son”
Winter- Character- Loving God with your heart by seeking to have your life transformed by Him.
Spring- Doctrine- Loving God with your mind by seeking to know Him and what He has revealed.
Summer- Mission- Loving those who are still in the “domain of darkness”
