Introducing Realm…

If you were at our most recent New Covenant membership meeting, it was announced that we are making a transition at the end of November to a new next generation whole church ministry management solution called Realm. By way of follow up, we will be devoting three blog posts this month to help inform our church congregation about this web-based, totally mobile cloud solution. This first blog will attempt to provide general information about this ACS Technology software.

So what is Realm?

Realm is a new 100% web-based application from ACS Technologies that informs our staff, connects our congregation, and multiplies our gospel ministry at New Covenant across a broader community. All of our Realm data is safely stored and backed up in the cloud, making it available 24/7 from anywhere using a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.

So let’s get specific. How does Realm help our church staff?

It helps our church staff manage daily tasks like church contributions, tracking member involvement and contribution trends, sending group emails, managing small groups, and church volunteer initiatives. Realm has a financial module that updates our current financial reporting software and now integrates within the Realm database so multi-users such as office staff, church treasurer, ministry leaders, and our elder financial subcommittee can interact efficiently as a part of the church budgeting and reporting process. It will also support church contribution and special events giving either online or via text. An upcoming payroll module in 2017 should further build on the current financial integration features that will help streamline New Covenant office procedures while helping ensure financial reporting accuracy.

How does Realm help our church body?

It encourages our church body to connect and share our specific group and volunteer ministry experiences together by coordinating information, communication, resources, and administration using multiple devices. For instance, you will be able to use your desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone to access your personal giving records at any time. You will also have the option to make church contributions or pay for church events using a debit, credit or electronic check feature. Finally, you will be able to update your personal profile information such as phone, email, or address information directly via your device.

Hopefully, this overview has been useful in outlining the general features and benefits of our Realm application. One of our New Covenant commitments moving forward is to provide you with specific, clear information that allows you to make a smooth Realm user transition.
